Typography
3D Printing
This is a design exploration of three-dimensional typography. Derived from a study of the relationship between typography and architecture, their similarities in shape and form and how they are defined by their parallel pursuit in the visual language of each period. The letters are designed in Rhino, based on the typeface Cloister. They are separated according to the natural form of their strokes and extruded varying in-depth to create their individual profile. This project was selected and exhibited at the Objectspace, a public gallery which focuses on craft, applied arts and design.
